SAWYER
Sawyer is a human. That's called a Biocell in the Beaver IND. universe. Sawyer works at the power plant, and is very skilled and talented in both physical and scientific operations. She's an engineer and technologist, with a gritty personality. Sawyer's jobs include robot maintenance, engineering and fuel distribution to portable robots. She flies a UAV GLIDER, and has her own sci-fi bunker cabin at work. MILKY Milky is a colleague of Sawyer’s. His job is to fuel the other robots that work remotely outside of the main Beaver grounds. He’s portable and carries gallons of Calcium Saline Fuel. Sawyer helps him load up other smaller bots by plugging her bottles into their tanks. The bottles act as a liquid battery. INPODS The Inpods were based on real biological creatures. As Beaver developed, it caused immeasurable habitat fragmentation. It drove out many wild inhabitants, forcing them to the edge of their plains and to survive on next to nothing. They became parasites and lost their ancestral homes. The community lost all knowledge on their sacredness and relevance, instead rendering them worthless and vermin. As nothing was to be valued from them, they were left to survive if they could. Until one day Beaver decided to capture a large portion of their young for experimentation and development. What surfaced eventually after much destruction, was a robotic workforce based on the wild biological counterpart. The mechanical variants were labelled ‘Inpods’. BARKS Barks are a very specialist robotic maintenance workforce that were specifically designed for the Silviculture of Beaver’s timber. It is their job to maintain the quality of trees in the forest via chemical sprays, fertilization, and to sustain a controlled terrestrial ecosystem. Thus maximising the end quality of timber product. Each Bark is designated to a specific tree, and is guardian/specialist for that tree. All for business of course. Barks are a quadrupedal robot, with a sample of their tree incorporated into their system. This sample is monitored and well looked after, showcasing the optimal quality bar of what the other trees on site should be achieving ideally. Any tree that falls below quality of that contained sample, is nurtured till prime health is achieved. The timber is then felled by the LumberBot Unit once full maturity and peak condition is reached. |
